Cancellation Policy

Students have a 24 hour grace period immediately after the purchase of a class to receive a refund in writing in email. There will be no refund beyond this 24hour grace period. If a student cancels a class in writing at least 14 days prior to the class date, the student will receive a credit for the class. Credit are valid for 1 year from the date of cancellation. No credit will be issued for any cancellation made less than 14 days prior to the class date.

Any cancellations due to sickness and covid-19 will receive a credit to use within a year of the original date of your purchased date.

Studio Policy

Please do not use phones or devices during the class. Please have phones in silent mode and put it away out of view. If parents/guardians need to reach your child during the class hour, please feel free to contact me. Please no eating in the studio. Please respect art materials and other students in class.

Thank you for understanding and respecting teaching artists, staff and students in class.

Late Policy

Please be on time to pick up your child. You will be charged $10 for each additional 5 minutes after the class ending time. Sumner studio is not responsible and not staffed for after hour supervision for your child.

Release of Liability

As the legal parent or guardian, you release and hold harmless, Sumner Studio, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Sumner Studio owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises. That said we do take your child's safety seriously.

Daily Health Screening

If you/participants are sick or are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please do not attend class. Please send us email and we will make accommodations.

COVID-19 Policy

For the health and safety of our staff and community, we require all participants, artist and staffs to be vaccinated. We follow Covid-19 safety measures in our seasonal art&crafts camps & special workshops to ensure safety for your family, our staff, and the community. All of our staff and teaching artists are fully vaccinated. Sumner Studio staff will thoroughly sanitize and clean the studio, especially frequently touched surface areas, before and after the each class. We will have plenty of soap and hand sanitizer on hand. We use exhaust fans and open windows to circulate fresh air in the studio.

Mask policy

Our studio will follow up-to-date health and safety guidelines by PPS, Disease Control(CDC), the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon Department of Education(ODE) and Multnomah County Public Health. Please discuss with your child about this masking option in the studio. Sumner studio teaching artists and staff will be wearing mask inside the studio during workshop. Face mask during workshops is encouraged.

Photographs

We do take photographs throughout the week. We use them on our Instagram page and for promotional purposes. If you are not comfortable with this, we completely understand. Please just let us know.
